It stops heat loss by acting as a chimney plug draft stopper that air seals and insulates the fireplace. This saves you money and heat, and improves comfort.
    The Chimney Balloon usually installs above the damper, but also works in chimneys that have no damper. You inflate it into the lowest spot in your flue that has at least two parallel walls, and is not obstructed with other hardware.
